Thammasat Rice Farming Day: Toward Sufficiency Economy

13 March 2019 – Office of International Affairs took 10 International students to visit Thammasat Rice Field, at Rangsit Campus to join Thammasat Rice Farming Day: Toward Sufficiency Economy with Thai students from Rangsit Campus.

Thammasat Rice Cultivation Project is the project to let student learn knowledge out of the class room. The rice from this field will be actually cooked for freshmen students every year. Thammasat University was the first and only university to launch this project and has continued the project for 13 years, now. This project also aims to nurture students’ consciousness on the difficulty of rice cultivation, so they will not leave food waste.

Moreover, international students also joined related activities there. International students reflect that the event was impressive and hope to participate in activities like this again in the future.
