UNDP Thailand and Thammasat co-hosted launching of “Global Human Development Report 2020”

16 December 2020 - United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Thailand and School of Global Studies, Thammasat University, co-hosted launching of the 30th anniversary “Global Human Development Report 2020” at Tha Prachan Campus.In this Occasion, Mr. Renaud Meyer, Resident Representative, UNDP Thailand and  Rector Gasinee Witoonchart, delivered welcoming remarks, while Ms. Lovita Ramguttee, Deputy Resident Representative, UNDP Thailand, gave a presentation of Global Human Development Report 2020.There was on-site and online panel on “The Next Frontier: Human Development and the Anthropocene”(featuring Mr. Weerasak Kowsurat, Deputy Chair, Senate's Standing Committee on Natural Resources and Environment, Dean of School of Global Studies, President, Thailand Environment Institute and executive from PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited). Participants included representatives from Embassies, International organizations, Thammasat executives and students.




U.S. Embassy visited Thammasat University

9 December 2020 - Ms. Lydia Barraza, Cultural Attache’ and officers from the U.S. Embassy Bangkok, visited Thammasat University. Greeted by Vice Rector Kitti Prasirtsuk, along with Assistant the Rector Supranee Lisawadi, both sides discussed possible collaboration, including Information Session for the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Program and virtual seminar in new journalism, the Embassy visit by TU students, and study trip/internship to U.S. university laboratories for science and engineering students
