On 6 May 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, welcomed Mr. Hiroki Shimoide, Administrative Director at the Global Core Center of Soka University in Japan, along with the Center’s Manager and Liaison officer, during their visit to Thammasat’s Rangsit campus.
The Soka University delegation delivered an insightful presentation outlining the university’s key initiatives and the role of its International Affairs Office. During the meeting, Miss Patcharin Prajsuchanai was introduced as the new Liaison Officer at the Thammasat-Soka Liaison office.
Currently, Soka and Thammasat enjoy a robust partnership at both the institutional and faculty levels, particularly with the Faculty of Liberal Arts. Discussions focused on strengthening existing student exchange programs under the current agreement and exploring opportunities to increase the number of participating students in both directions.
The Soka representatives also provided updates regarding their newly appointed Rector and the upcoming annual seminar in collaboration with Thammasat’s Faculty of Liberal Arts. Additionally, they extended a cordial invitation to Dr. Supreedee to visit Soka University of America, located in Aliso Viejo, California, during his upcoming participation in the NAFSA 2025 Annual Conference & Expo in San Diego County.
