Prof. Supasawad Chardchawarn, Ph.D.
Rector of Thammasat University

we share, we change, we win
Dear friends and colleagues,
Thammasat University has been a highly distinguished academic institution. We are proud of its esteemed history of social and political impact on Thailand’s national development since the nation’s democratic revolution of 1932. I am deeply honored to become the 25th Rector of this university.
This is a place like no other. Thammasat stands proud of its enormous legacy of achievement and embraces the challenges and opportunities of the modern world. This combination of past success, amplified over more than 90 years of history, and forward-looking vision is the strong of Thammasat’s uniqueness.
As a Rector, I am committed to enhancing the university’s global momentum across the Asian region and the wider world through multi-level partnerships and international outreach. Our commitment to fostering global partnerships will increase, strengthening international collaboration with universities, government and non-governmental institutions and foreign missions around the world. We will strive to expand strategic partnerships with new prospective partners as well as deepening the collaboration we continue to enjoy with our existing ones.
To ensure our success, diversity and inclusiveness are fundamental. The “ONE TU” policy is designed to reunite our vast network of faculty, staff, students, alumni and partnerships into ONE unified body. We will harmonize our four campuses across the nation into ONE driven force. This effort is to maintain our excellence and achieve our greatest potential. Together, as ONE TU, we will be in the vanguard of innovation, dedicated to nurturing future-focused graduates while fulfilling our responsibility to society.
Thammasat and ONE TU will create the future today where we position to be the global university. I invite you to join us in any way you can to be a global member of ONE TU.
