Bangladesh Ambassador to Thailand Pays Courtesy Call on Thammasat University Rector

On 15 January 2025, H.E. Mr. Faiyaz Murshid Kazi, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Thailand, paid a courtesy visit to Prof. Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, Rector of Thammasat University, at the Rangsit Campus. This visit, marking the Ambassador’s recent assumption of duty, signified a step forward in expanding ties in educational and academic growth.  

 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, joined the Rector in welcoming the Ambassador.  Accompanying the Ambassador was Mr. Nirjhar Adhikary, Counsellor 

After congratulating the Rector on his inauguration, the Ambassador expressed keen interest in exploring collaborative opportunities with Thammasat, particularly in the areas of Social Science, Political Science, Law, and Philosophy. He also noted that the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh, renowned  for its strengths in Social Science, Humanities, and Law, shares a similar academic focus with Thammasat, making it a strong potential partner for cooperation.   

The discussion also covered scholarship opportunities for international students, joint research initiatives, and potential collaboration  with Thammasat Institute of Area Studies (TIARA).
