This course will consider business models in two different dimensions The first will emphasize organization design, specifically new paradigms of how organizations will operate in the context of digital transformation and increased uncertainty and crises at this level issues of the integration related to M&A is considered. The second dimension of business model relates to start‐ups. This section considers how start‐ups could be designed for effective performance and survivability related to this are considerations of digital platforms and business ecosystems. Related to this are different types of startup business models: tech, social impact/sustainability, and climate change. There is an emphasis on the success factors related to the design of startup. The future potential of startups is considered by going global and evaluating the potential M&A opportunities. The supporting ecosystem and funding opportunities are assessed. This course will emphasize how to make the best case for investors to decide to fund the startup.

This course designs for learning how global corporations mitigate or learn to live with a global  crisis like the COVID‐19 pandemic. Digital Transformation is a key issue to sustain global  corporations in this crisis and has impact on the design and performance of global  corporations. This course will study several cases for how the organizations have success with  digital transformation. Digital transformation has also changed work style drastically and  creates new work trends in organizations. This course will also study how the work force  motivation has changed and prevent the way to combat employees burnout and resignation.  We will focus to cases of Millennials generation who is nowadays in the main stream of  workforce. As digital transformation has made the world smaller, global corporations have to  manage cross cultural conflict among diversified employees. This course will do some practical  cross cultural management practices through class activities.
