OIA hosts Singha plant tour and sightseeing at Phra Pathom Chedi

On 29 April 2025, nearly 30 international Thammasat students embarked on a short, one-day excursion to Nakhon Pathom province, blending industrial insight with cultural discovery.

The day began with a guided tour of the Singha Beverage Company, operated by Boonrawd Brewery Co, Ltd. – Thailand’s oldest and most renowned beverage manufacturer. Students were given an in-depth look at the beer and beverage production process, including world-class brewing techniques, quality control systems, storage practices, and marketing strategies. Expert staff provided detailed explanations, offering students a practical perspective on Thailand’s beverage industry and its global outreach.

In the afternoon, the group visited Phra Pathom Chedi, the tallest Buddhist stupa in Thailand and a major historical landmark of Nakhon Pathom. In a peaceful and serene atmosphere, students received a briefing on the chedi’s rich history and architectural significance, including the symbolic meaning of its upside-down, bell-shaped structure.

The excursion provided a valuable opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of both Thai industry and cultural heritage, enriching their international learning experience at Thammasat.
