Thammasat and FICCI Explore Future Collaboration

On 12 March 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, together with Dr. Usanee Patapsikij Lertrattanon, Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs, warmly welcomed members of the FICCI Higher Education Mission from India. The delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Padmakumar Nair, Co-Chair of the FICCI Higher Education Committee and Vice Chancellor of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology.  

The visiting delegation included executives from several prominent Indian universities, such as Chitkara University, C.V Raman Global University, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Symbiosis International, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, and Parul University. Representatives from Thammasat University also attended the meeting, including those from the Thammasat School of Engineering, the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, and Pridi Banomyong International College. 

The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between Thailand and India, with a focus on economic and educational collaboration at the state level. Both sides engaged in productive discussions, exchanging key information and exploring opportunities for future academic partnerships.  

Looking ahead, the Indian institutions expressed strong interest in several areas of collaboration, including dual and joint degree programs, short-term academic initiatives, student internships and exchanges, joint research projects, as well as visiting professor and guest lecturer opportunities.
