On 4 March 2025, Dr. Usanee Patapsikij Lertrattanon, Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs and the OIA Coordinator for Europe at Thammasat University, met with Ms. Diane Weston, Senior International Officer for International Recruitment at the University of Kent in the United Kingdom, during her visit to Thammasat’s Tha Prachan campus.
The visit aimed to discuss the renewal of their university-level collaboration and the re-establishment of their partnership. Both parties explored new academic opportunities in addition to the existing collaboration under the Progression Agreement.
During the meeting, Ms. Weston highlighted that Kent students have a strong interest in the fields of Law and Political Science. In response, The Assistant to the Rector provided an overview of Thammasat’s expertise in Social Sciences, Political Science, Engineering, Technology, and Health Science, emphasizing the university’s strengths in these areas.
Ms. Weston also expressed enthusiasm for further cooperation, particularly in developing Dual Degree programs between the two institutions.
This visit not only reaffirms the strong partnership between Thammasat University and the University of Kent but also paves the way for exciting new initiatives that will benefit students at both institutions.
