Joining the Vice Rector were senior executives and staff from the Faculty of Engineering.
The meeting began with a warm welcome from the Vice Rector. Following the welcome, the Heads of the Departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, provided detailed presentations on their current undergraduate and graduate programs. In turn, the NUS representatives shared insights into their offerings at NUS SCALE and NUS-ISS.
The NUS delegates expressed a strong interest in exploring potential partnerships at the faculty level, particularly in key fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science, Software Engineering, and Digital Transformation. They also discussed opportunities for collaboration in academic programs, including a Double Degree 1+1 model at the Master’s level and 3+1+1 model for undergraduate students.
This visit marks an important step towards fostering deeper collaboration between Thammasat University and NUS, strengthening the educational bonds between the two institutions.
The purpose of the visit was to promote the University of Foggia and explore collaborative opportunities with Thammasat in graduate programs and through the Erasmus+ initiative.
During the meeting, the Vice Rector gave a brief overview of Thammasat’s international programs, which closely align with those offered by UNIFG, particulary in the fields of Law, Economics, Humanities, and Medical Sciences.
Mr. La Torre also shared that Mr. Giulio Esposito, Head of the International Office and International Erasmus Coordinator at the University of Foggia, is tentatively planning a follow-up visit to Thammasat in April 2025 to continue discussions.
