On 9 March 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, warmly welcomed Mr. Konstantin Platonov, Director of Asia Engagement at the TAU Lowy International School, Tel Aviv University (TAU), Israel. The follow-up meeting took place at the Office of International Affairs, Thammasat University, Tha Prachan, after both sides initially met during APAIE 2026 in Hong Kong.
As a leading research university in Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv University offers a wide range of distinguished international programs spanning the Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, and STEM disciplines. During the meeting, the TAU representative expressed keen interest in pursuing collaboration in joint research projects, short-term researcher exchanges, joint doctoral programs, and other academic initiatives, such as online practical seminars, conferences, and collaborative research grant opportunities.
The Thammasat delegation expressed its readiness to further expand collaboration with relevant faculties, particularly in the fields of Engineering and Computer Science. In addition, the Vice Rector proposed exploring joint research initiatives in the social sciences, including studies related to the Israeli community in Thailand and Thai communities living in Israel.
This visit marked an important step toward strengthening academic engagement and paving the way for deeper educational ties and long-term collaboration between Thammasat and Tel Aviv University.
