
The Office of International Affairs (OIA) at Thammasat University, led by Dr. Usanee Patapsikij Lerttattananon, Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs, along with executives and staff from the Faculties of Economics, Engineering, and the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), participated in the “Thailand Education and Jobs Fair 2025″, held from 7 to 8 February, 2025 on Diamond Island, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The event was held under the theme of “Together for a Better Future” to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Thailand-Cambodia diplomatic relations, co-organized by The Royal Thai Embassy, Phnom Penh, the Network of Thailand Alumni in Cambodia, and Go Study Thailand.
The two-day event commenced on 7 February 2025 with a welcome dinner and networking, held at the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, providing an excellent opportunity for networking and collaboration. At the event, H.E. Mr. Tull Traisorat, Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia, greeted and welcomed all participants to the Networking Dinner.
On 8 February 2025, the Fair officially started with welcoming remarks by H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, and Ms. Ek-on Khunacharoen, Chargé d’Affaires (ad interim) of the Royal Thai Embassy in Cambodia. The Education and Job Fair this year featured a wide array of educational and job opportunities from various prominent Thai universities and panel discussions. Thammasat set up a booth to welcome prospective students, drawing significant interest from Cambodian high school students eager to experience a global education and explore new opportunities at Thammasat University.
During the panel discussion, Dr. Usanee represented Thammasat University, providing an overview of scholarship opportunities for further study at Thammasat through TISR program.
The Fair provided essential information and scholarship opportunities as well as guidance about the application process, encouraging Cambodian high school students to explore higher education opportunities in Thailand.
