On 9 July 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, welcomed a delegation from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. The visiting delegation was led by Prof. Boh Wai Fong, Vice President (Lifelong Learning & Alumni Engagement) and Head of Marketing and Admissions at NTU Academy for Professional and Continuing Education (NTU PACE). The meeting was also attended by Thammasat University executives, including the Dean of the College of Innovation and representatives from Thammasat Business School (TBS).
The meeting opened with a presentation providing an overview of NTU, highlighting its academic profile, student population, institutional strengths, collaborative initiatives, global rankings, research achievements, and academic expertise. Key areas of academic and research excellence included Engineering, Science and Technology, Urban Solutions and Sustainability, Human Health and Potential, Manufacturing, Trade and Connectivity, Smart Nation and Digital Economy, and Defense and Strategic Security.
During the discussion, the NTU delegation expressed particular interest in the 4+1 and 3+1+1 academic pathway models, dual and double degree programs, and the early admission approach as potential mechanisms to increase graduate student enrollment.
The College of Innovation also expressed interest in the 3+1+1 academic pathway model, noting that Thammasat’s College of Innovation is well positioned to collaborate with the NTU Entrepreneurship Academy, as their academic frameworks are closely aligned. Meanwhile, Thammasat Business School (TBS) highlighted opportunities for collaboration with NTU in dual and double degree programs in Enterprise AI, which are closely aligned with the Master of Science in Management Information Systems (MSMIS) program at TBS.
This visit marked a significant step toward expanding faculty-level academic ties between Thammasat University and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), fostering meaningful collaboration and creating mutually beneficial opportunities for students, faculty members, and researchers at both institutions.
