On 8 July 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, along with the OIA Coordinator for Asia, welcomed Mr. Toshiaki Yagi, General Manager of the Business Planning Division at YIC Asia Pacific Corporation Limited, a company under Japan’s Yazaki Group. The meeting took place at the Office of International Affairs on Thammasat’s Tha Prachan campus. Joining Mr. Yagi was Mr. Prapakorn Yodtomorn, International Coordinator at Hyogo University.
During the visit, the Japanese delegation shared valuable insights into Yazaki Group’s operation, including its corporate background, business strategies, manufacturing facilities in Thailand, and its engineering products such as automotive component parts, electric wire, and copper wire rods.
The discussions focused on enhancing academic collaboration through internship programs, particularly for engineering students whose qualifications align with Yazaki Group’s requirements.
To strengthen this prospective partnership, Dr. Supreedee proposed a site visit for Thammasat executives, especially representatives from the Faculty of Engineering and the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), to tour Yazaki’s production facilities.
