On 25 June 2025, Thammasat University, welcomed a high-level delegation from the Secretariat of the Senate of Thailand to its Tha Prachan campus. The visit marked a promising step toward academic collaboration between the two institutions.
Leading the Thammasat delegation were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dumrong Adunyarittigun, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. M.L. Pinitbhand Paribatra, Vice Rector for Research and Innovation. They received Mr. Peerapoj Rattanamalee, Deputy Secretary-General of the Senate, along with bureau directors and senior officials.
During the visit, the Secretariat of the Senate presented a range of potential partnership initiatives, including joint research projects, visiting lectureships, and knowledge exchange sessions. They also introduced their flagship “Morning Talk ” program, which brings together visiting executives and officers for academic activities such as book discussions and knowledge–sharing forums.
In response, Thammasat leaders expressed strong interest in deepening collaboration. Assoc. Prof. Dumrong highlighted the university’s enthusiasm for faculty member exchanges and interpreter training programs. Assoc. Prof. Pinitband emphasized the potential of leveraging data from the Thammasat Center of Excellence to enhance research strategies. Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. Supreedee underlined the importance of establishing a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to solidify academic cooperation. He also proposed internship programs and Senate study tours for Thammasat students to enrich their academic and professional experience.
