The Office of International Affairs (OIA) at Thammasat University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, together with OIA staff, participated in the annual APAIE Conference and Exhibition held from 23 -27 February 2026 in Hong Kong.
Held under the theme “Asia-Pacific Partnerships for the Global Good”, the conference emphasized regional cooperation while highlighting the importance of sustainability in higher education. The event served as a platform for international education leaders and educators to come together, fostering collaborative pathways and strengthening global connections across the Asia-Pacific region.
APAIE 2026 welcomed more than 3,500 participants representing over 600 organizations from 72 regions. The conference featured a dynamic program including workshops, panel discussions, networking events, educational exhibitions, and post-conference campus tours.
Throughout the week, Thammasat representatives hosted a booth where they reconnected with long-standing partners and welcomed new prospective collaborators. Discussions focused on expanding promising partnerships, including joint academic initiatives, short-term programs, and student exchange opportunities.
In addition to the OIA booth promoting Thammasat’s international programs, representatives from Thammasat Business School, the Faculties of Economics and Liberal Arts, and Pridi Banomyong International College also participated in the event to strengthen academic exchange and foster new collaborations.
A highlight of the event was the Closing Plenary session on 26 February, where participants reflected on academic excellence, innovation, and experiences gained in Hong Kong.
The session concluded with an invitation to attend next year’s APAIE Conference and Exhibition 2027, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
