On 8 May 2026, the Office of International Affairs at Thammasat University welcomed Yi Feng, Senior Partnerships Manager from Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), UK, for a follow-up meeting to discuss the expansion of institutional collaboration. The discussion followed an initial meeting between the two universities during APAIE 2026 in Hong Kong.
The QUB delegation was received by the Director of the Office of International Affairs, together with the International Program Manager from the Faculty of Law. The meeting focused on advancing a university-level agreement and exploring new opportunities for academic collaboration.
At the faculty level, Queen’s University Belfast currently collaborates with the Faculty of Law through a 3+1 / 3+M academic pathway model. In addition, QUB maintains cooperation with the Faculty of Science and Technology in the areas of food safety and food security.
To further broaden academic engagement, QUB expressed strong interest in developing partnerships with other faculties and disciplines, particularly in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Engineering and Technology.
Both sides reaffirmed the importance of enhancing student mobility, research placements, and scholarship opportunities as key mechanisms for strengthening future cooperation and fostering deeper international academic ties.
