1 August 2026 – International students had the opportunity to explore Thailand’s rich culture and heritage through guided visits to some of Bangkok’s most iconic landmarks. The cultural excursion included visits to Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha) and the Grand Palace, Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), and Wat Saket (The Golden Mount).
These visits provided students with a multifaceted introduction to Thailand’s historical and cultural heritage. Through firsthand experiences, students explored Thai architecture, history, and traditional arts, while gaining insights into Buddhist beliefs and practices. They had the opportunity to admire intricate mural paintings, stucco and gilded artwork, glass and porcelain mosaic decorations, floral ceramic mosaics, and traditional Thai mythological craftsmanship. The tours also offered insights into aspects of Buddhist life and Thai traditions, including mindfulness practices and merit-making.
The one-day cultural tours offered international students a meaningful opportunity to experience Thailand beyond the classroom, fostering greater cross-cultural understanding and appreciation of the country’s history, artistic achievements, and living traditions.
