Thammasat and Kyushu Exchange Views on Student Exchange and Short-Term Programs

On 14 September 2026, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) at Thammasat University, Tha Prachan Campus, welcomed a delegation from the International Affairs Department of Kyushu University, Japan, for a meeting on student exchange and short-term study programs.  The Thammasat delegation included representatives from the OIA, including the Head of the Division of Mobility and regional coordinators.

During the meeting, representatives from both universities exchanged information and shared perspectives on student exchange opportunities and short-term programs offered by Kyushu University. The discussion covered a range of programs, including the Exchange Program for both undergraduate and graduate students, the Japan in Today’s World (JTW) Program, the Japanese Language and Culture Course (JLCC), the Summer Course, the Winter School, and the ASEAN in Today’s World (AsTW) Program.

The two sides also discussed the key aspects of these programs, including academic requirements, course offerings, program duration, campus facilities, and student activities. The exchange of information provided useful insights into the opportunities available to Thammasat students interested in studying at Kyushu University.

During the meeting, a Thammasat student nominated to participate in the Japan in Today’s World (JTW) Program also met with the Kyushu University staff to learn more about the program and prepare for the upcoming study experience. The Kyushu University representatives provided detailed information about the program and offered practical guidance on accommodation options, local climate conditions, and cultural differences. This information will help the student prepare for life and study in Japan.

The visit underscored the strong academic ties between Thammasat and Kyushu University and further strengthened the foundation for long-term collaboration between the two institutions.
