On 24 April 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, welcomed Prof. Dr. Jia Dezhong, Vice Chairman of the University Council at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) in China during an official visit to Thammasat’s Tha Prachan campus. Prof. Jia was accompanied by the Deputy Director of the International Office, the Vice Dean, and the Head of the Thai Department, School of Asian Studies at BFSU.
Joining the Vice Rector were Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs and executives from Pridi Banomyong International College (PBIC).
The visit aimed to reaffirm and renew academic collaboration between the two institutions. Both sides expressed their commitment to strengthening university-level collaboration, with key discussions focusing on student and faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and the proposed establishment of a TU-BFSU Liaison Center at Thammasat.
In a gesture of goodwill and long-standing friendship, the Thammasat delegation also extended their cordial congratulations to the Thai Department of the School of Asian Studies at BFSU on the occasion of its 60th anniversary.
