On 14 September 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, and Dr. Usanee Patapsikij Lertrattananon, Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs, welcomed Prof. Ikuya Kano, Vice President of the University of Hyogo, to the Office of International Affairs at Thammasat University’s Tha Prachan Campus. The meeting was also attended by the Chief Representative and officers from the University of Hyogo.
The meeting included an update on the University of Hyogo’s Staff Mobility Programme, which provides scholarship opportunities for participating staff members. The current application call is open, and several Thammasat staff members have been selected to participate in the programme scheduled for November 2026.
Discussions also focused on enhancing collaboration through the Visiting Professor Programme. As part of this initiative, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk will deliver a special lecture entitled “Doing Business in Thailand and Thai and Japanese Business in Thailand” during his visit to the University of Hyogo in early October 2026.
The University of Hyogo also expressed strong interest in further expanding its partnership with Thammasat University, particularly in the field of business. Proposed areas of collaboration include online lectures by Thammasat executives on Business Analysis, Business Management, and Accounting for students enrolled in the Global Business Course (GBC) at the School of Economics and Management.
This visit marked another important step in strengthening the academic relationship between Thammasat University and the University of Hyogo. Through expanded mobility opportunities, faculty engagement, and collaborative teaching initiatives, the partnership aims to create meaningful and mutually beneficial opportunities for students, faculty, and staff at both institutions.
