On 10 November 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs at Thammasat University, and the OIA Coordinator for the Americas, welcomed Dr. Danielle Swanepoel, Executive Director of International Relations and Strategic Initiatives at George Mason University Korea (GMU Korea), along with senior administrative representatives, during their visit to the Office of International Affairs at Thammasat’s Tha Prachan campus.
Dr. Swanepoel provided an overview of GMU Korea, explaining that its campus was established within the Incheon Global Campus (IGC). The IGC Global Education Hub hosts several leading universities – including the State University of New York (Stony Brook University and FIT), George Mason University, Ghent University from Belgium, and the University of Utah – where students are able to pursue the same degrees offered at the institutions’ home universities.
The meeting proceeded with discussions on student exchange opportunities, international education initiatives, and potential areas for deeper collaboration. Both parties expressed interest in strengthening academic ties through joint research, online courses, and internship opportunities.
