Mr. Dick Custin, Counselor for Public Affairs, and other officials from the U.S. Embassy visited Thammasat-Tha Prachan on 23 July 2024. They were greeted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, the Vice Rector for International Affairs, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surat Teerakapibal, the former Vice Rector for International Affairs, from the Thammasat Business School.
Both sides expressed their pleasure with the success of the International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP) Thailand (Phase 1) at Thammasat-Rangsit on 22 April 2024. The program was co-organized by Thammasat, the U.S. Embassy, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), the Institute of International Education (IIE), and 15 U.S. universities. The Counselor then gave a brief on the IAPP Thailand (Phase 2), particularly concerning study tours at universities in both Thailand and in the USA.
The two sides shared views on concerns of past exchange programs and discussed ways to enhance the exchanges to increase the number of students heading in both directions under IAPP Thailand (Phase 2), including internships in the private sector abroad as well as expanding exchanges to vocational schools in the USA
