24 June 2024 – The Vice Rector for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, met with the Director of I-Corps, Mr. Bob Smith, and Ms. Kerry Slattery, Program Manager for International Entrepreneurship, from the Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at George Washington University (GWU) in the USA, during a visit to Thammasat-Rangsit. Joining the Vice Rector to welcome the GWU delegation were the Director of the Center of Intellectual Property and Business Incubator (TUIPI), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jirada Singkhonrat, and staff as well as the OIA Coordinator for Europe.
Both sides considered the possibility of potential collaboration between the two universities in the areas of university-based innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem building. Afterwards, GWU side presented a brief on its two-week Team Development Program which offers attendees the chance to upskill themselves to become entrepreneurs with effective techniques to build a network.
The Thammasat TUIPI Director also gave a brief introduction to TUIPI activities and funding opportunities.
