Prof. Eiji Nawata, Director of the Kyoto University ASEAN Center, alongside officials from the Center, met with Ms. Surussawadee Artnonla, the OIA Director, and Dr. Nittayaporn Prompanya from the Southeast Asian Studies program at the Faculty of Liberal Arts. They were joined by staff from Thammasat’s International Affairs Office at the university’s Rangsit campus on 26 February 2025.
The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration between Thammasat and Kyoto University, focusing on exchange programs and academic initiatives. Both sides provided key information about dormitories, student activities, facilities, and services available to students at both universities who are interested in gaining experience in either Japan or Thailand.
Following the meeting, the OIA hosted an information session on the Kyoto Summer Program, led by staff from the Kyoto University ASEAN Center. Nearly 20 students from the Faculties of Political Science, Journalism and Mass Communication, and the College of Innovation, attended the session, gaining valuable insights into academic opportunities and student life at Kyoto University.
