Thammasat and Taipei Tech discuss partnership renewal

Thammasat University, led by Rector Prof. Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, the Vice Rector for International Affairs, and senior executives from the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), cordially welcomed Prof. Sea-Fue Wang, President of National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech) in Taiwan and his senior delegation during their visit to Thammasat’s Rangsit campus. The visit aimed to discuss the renewal of their university-level partnership.

Currently, Taipei Tech maintains a faculty-level partnership with SIIT. During the meeting, both institutions explored expanding this collaboration to encompass the entire university. Key areas of focus include the development of academic initiatives such as a Graduate Student Lab Exchange Program, a joint research program, a Dual Degree model (1+1) in the semiconductor field, a Joint Learning Program with a PBL competition, as well as further opportunities for exchanges, joint research, and academic workshops.

The two parties also discussed ways to enhance co-funding opportunities for research programs in areas of shared interest. Notably, collaboration between Taipei Tech and SIIT has already led to successful joint publications in the fields of Engineering and Technology, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Management, and Life Sciences and Medicine.

This visit marks a significant step toward deepening the partnership between Thammasat and Taipei Tech, advancing academic initiatives, joint research, and academic exchange programs.
