On 9 March 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, warmly welcomed Dr. Nicole Tami, Executive Director of Global Education Initiatives, Global Education Office, at the University of New Mexico (UNM), USA, during her visit to the Office of International Affairs at Thammasat University, Tha Prachan.
During the meeting, the UNM delegation introduced the university’s academic strengths and areas of excellence, particularly in Medicine, Engineering, Film and Digital Media, and Agriculture. Dr. Tami also presented UNM’s flagship Bridge Program, designed to upskill students to meet exchange program requirements. The delegation also highlighted the Amigo Scholarship, which provides financial support and opportunities for international students pursuing graduate degrees at UNM.
To promote institutional collaboration, representatives from both universities agreed to pursue a university-level Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will lay the foundation for academic cooperation and facilitate two-way student and faculty exchanges.
This visit marked an important step toward deepening academic ties and establishing long-term collaboration between Thammasat University and the University of New Mexico.
